Care Watch advocates for a basket of community support services

The services Ontario’s seniors receive should depend on what they need and not on where they live.

Care Watch advocates for an array – or basket – of in-home and community services to be available to every senior in every community in the province. These services will cover personal care, meals, home maintenance, adult day services, transportation, caregiver support, and care coordination.

Individual need will guide what each senior receives, but each senior will have access to all the services in the basket. Care Watch strongly recommends that Ontario adopt this basket as a provincial standard.
